• Ensure effective performance of engineering assignments.
• Plan and direct the timely execution of engineering activities, as assigned.
• Ensure projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.
• Ensure adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures.
• Monitor goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.
• Work interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
• Research and assess best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
• Work on special projects, as directed.
• Perform other related duties and tasks, as required.
Core Responsibilities
• Provide technical oversight of safety analyses, technical safety requirements, and related safety basis documents for nuclear facilities.
• Review and validation of deterministic and probabilistic safety analyses specifically reactor transient modeling
• Ensure Regulatory compliance with NRC licensing requirements and associated topical reports
• Leadership of engineering teams, including hiring, training, and performance management of engineers
• Project management of complex, multi-disciplinary safety analysis programs.
• Communication of technical findings to senior management and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Advanced Degree in nuclear engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields.
• Extensive hands-on experience in nuclear safety analysis.
• Experience with reactor physics and/or thermal hydraulics.
• Experience with regulatory review processes and licensing activities.
• Strong communication skills with experience presenting technical results to customers, regulators, or cross-functional engineering teams
