As the need for nuclear energy grows, the future couldn’t be brighter. Join our vital mission to create lasting solutions for our planet’s greatest challenges. In this role, you are ready to shape the future of clean energy and make a long‑lasting global impact. With us, anticipate engaging and challenging projects that deliver innovative solutions and value‑added technologies helping power more than 38 million North American homes.
As the Operational Excellence Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the Richland facility to meet the increasing demand for safe, reliable nuclear fuel. You will lead the frontline systems, processes, and team members that directly strengthen our manufacturing performance — ensuring stable production flow, improving equipment reliability, and building the operational capabilities needed to achieve the site’s strategic capacity targets. Your leadership will directly contribute to delivering clean energy to millions while enhancing the efficiency, resilience, and continuous improvement culture of our operations.
• Experience in high volume or continuous manufacturing environments, especially where throughput depends on equipment uptime, operator readiness, and stable flow.
• Hands on experience with Lean / Operational Excellence tools, such as visual management, short interval management, Kaizen, A3 problem solving, root cause analysis, and daily management systems.
• Experience supporting bottleneck operations, including understanding of cycle times, small stop reduction, OEE, and flow optimization.
• Strong ability to analyze process flow and WIP, including real time monitoring, reaction rules, and flow stability concepts.
• Experience improving equipment reliability in partnership with Maintenance, particularly in environments where unplanned downtime significantly impacts production capacity (e.g., press reliability / Tiger Teams)
• Capability to coach frontline leaders and operators on problem detection, escalation routines, deviation response, and adherence to standardized work.
• Experience implementing digital performance visualization tools, such as Power BI dashboards, data mapping, and real time production metrics displays on the shop floor.
• Ability to lead cultural change, build operator engagement, and energize teams around improvement routines and performance ownership.
• Project leadership experience, such as managing multi-disciplinary improvement efforts, reliability investigations, or staffing/training acceleration projects.
