What You’ll Do Day-To-Day

This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Communications Manager in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Corporate Business Unit. Your work will include:

  • Aligning communications with corporate strategy and business objectives.
  • Delivering concise, persuasive, and audience-specific writing (AP style, Smart Brevity, etc.).
  • Driving employee understanding of company priorities, culture, and transformation efforts.
  • Leveraging feedback channels to measure engagement and continuously refine messaging.
  • Leading community-outreach programs and philanthropic campaigns that enhance reputation and employee pride.
  • Overseeing creation and distribution of internal information and communications to improve understanding and acceptance of company operations, programs, policies and issues.
  • Evaluating measures of effectiveness of communications and related initiatives.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with business leaders serving as a trusted partner for communications.
  • This position requires up to 25% travel. 

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or directly related equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience in market analysis, communications, etc.
  • An advanced degree may be substituted for related experience (MS 1-2 years or PhD 1-3 years).

Total Rewards Package

  • Salary: $97,000 - $131,000 and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
